Copyright and Licensing

Color Pick uses original first-party product copy, interface design, CPS datasets, research, and generated assets, together with properly licensed open-source software. “Free to use” does not mean every part of the website is placed in the public domain.

Your palettes and exports

You may use palettes and exports you create for personal or commercial work, provided your source material does not infringe another party’s rights. Similar colors can occur independently and individual color values are not treated here as exclusive ownership claims.

Color Pick materials

The Color Pick brand, original interface, written content, CPS naming system, curated datasets, research presentation, and documentation remain protected unless a specific downloadable file states a separate license.

Imported content

You are responsible for having permission to use images, CSS, brand colors, files, names, and other material you import. Color Pick does not grant rights to third-party source material.

Open-source dependencies

The application uses open-source packages under their respective licenses. Package notices and license terms remain those of their authors. Color Pick does not claim authorship of those libraries.

Third-party systems and trademarks

CPS is an independent Color Pick system. Color Pick does not reproduce or claim equivalence with proprietary commercial color libraries. Third-party names and trademarks belong to their respective owners.

Reporting concerns

Use the Contact page to report a copyright or trademark concern. Include the specific URL, the protected work, your authority to act, and enough information to evaluate the request.
