Privacy overview
You can use Color Pick without creating an account. Core palette creation, color analysis, CPS matching, image color extraction, challenges, and export generation are designed to run in the browser.
Color Pick does not operate a server-side account database for ordinary tool use. Third-party services may still receive limited technical information when you load external services, send email, make a donation, or when analytics or advertising are enabled.
Local browser data
Color Pick may store tool preferences, recent colors, saved palettes, challenge progress, and interface state in localStorage or similar browser storage. Larger project folders and complete color-system projects may be stored in IndexedDB.
This information normally remains within the browser profile and device where it was created. It may be removed by you, your browser, storage-cleaning software, private-browsing behavior, device policies, or browser quota management.
Export important projects before clearing browser data. Color Pick cannot recover a local project that has been deleted and was not backed up.
Image processing
Images selected in the Image Color Picker are processed locally using browser technologies such as Canvas. Color Pick does not require those images to be uploaded to a Color Pick server.
Image contents are not included in share links or QR codes. Temporary image data is generally released when you reset the tool, close the page, or end the browser session, subject to normal browser memory behavior.
Analytics
Color Pick may use privacy-conscious analytics to understand aggregate page performance, device categories, traffic sources, and feature usage. When analytics are enabled, providers may process technical information such as an abbreviated or full IP address, browser type, operating system, page URL, referrer, and event timestamps according to their configuration and policies.
Analytics should not intentionally include uploaded image contents, exported project files, direct email messages, or the complete contents of a private local project library.
Advertising and Google cookies
Color Pick uses Google AdSense when advertising is enabled. Third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies or similar technologies to serve ads based on a user’s prior visits to Color Pick or other websites.
Google’s use of advertising cookies enables Google and its partners to serve personalized or non-personalized ads, depending on consent, settings, location, and applicable requirements. Users can manage personalized advertising through Google Ads Settings. Learn more about how Google uses information from partner sites through Google’s partner-sites privacy information.
Other third-party advertising vendors or ad networks may also use cookies where enabled. Their identities and available controls may be presented through the consent interface or the relevant provider disclosures.
Advertising is visually separated from tool controls. Clicking, viewing, or ignoring an advertisement does not change palette results, CPS matches, scores, downloads, or access to Color Pick features.
Consent and privacy choices
Where required, Color Pick will use a consent mechanism before non-essential cookies or similar storage are used for advertising or measurement. When Google ads are served to users in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, the implementation should use a Google-certified consent management platform that supports the applicable IAB Transparency and Consent Framework requirements.
You may be able to accept, reject, or manage available categories through the consent message. You can also clear browser cookies and site data through your browser settings. See the Cookie Policy for category-level details.
Email, feedback, donations, and external links
The feedback composer prepares a message in your browser and opens your email application. Color Pick does not receive the message unless you send it. Your email provider and the receiving email provider process the message under their own policies.
The donation button opens Sociabuzz or another configured third-party provider. Color Pick does not collect payment-card details. The provider may collect transaction and account information under its own terms and privacy policy.
External websites linked from Color Pick are responsible for their own privacy practices. Review their policies before submitting information.
Retention, deletion, and your choices
Local Color Pick data remains until it is deleted by you, the application, or the browser environment. You can delete projects inside Color Pick or clear site data through browser controls.
Email correspondence may be retained as reasonably necessary to respond, maintain records, prevent abuse, or meet legal obligations. Third-party analytics, advertising, donation, and email providers apply their own retention rules.
You may contact Color Pick to ask a privacy question. Because Color Pick generally does not maintain user accounts, we may not be able to identify or retrieve local browser data stored only on your device.
Children’s privacy
Color Pick is a general-audience design tool and is not directed specifically to young children. Do not send personal information about a child through email or feedback. Parents and guardians should supervise use when appropriate.
Policy changes and contact
This policy may be updated when features, service providers, legal requirements, or advertising configurations change. The revision date at the top of the page identifies the current published version.
Privacy questions can be sent to hello@colorpick.site. Do not include passwords, payment details, or unnecessary sensitive information.
