Acceptance of these terms
By accessing or using Color Pick, you agree to these Terms of Service and the related Privacy Policy and Disclaimer. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
The service
Color Pick provides free browser-based tools for color creation, comparison, analysis, education, project organization, and export. An account is not required for ordinary use.
Some features rely on local browser storage, device capabilities, browser permissions, downloadable files, or external services. Feature availability may vary by browser, device, network, region, or configuration.
Your content, local projects, and backups
You retain responsibility for palettes, names, uploaded images, imported files, project data, share links, QR codes, notes, generated code, and exports you create or use.
You must have the right to use any file or data you import. Do not upload, import, distribute, or share material that infringes intellectual property, privacy, confidentiality, or other legal rights.
Local browser data can be lost when site data is cleared, browser storage is restricted, a device is reset, or software removes cached data. Export backups of important projects. Color Pick is not a cloud backup service.
Color Pick Spot Color System
CPS is an independent digital reference system created for Color Pick. CPS codes and generated values are not official equivalents of Pantone or any other proprietary commercial color system.
CMYK values, ink estimates, print-risk labels, and screen previews are approximations for planning and communication. They are not physical ink formulas, certified standards, or substitutes for calibrated proofs and printer-approved specifications.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use Color Pick for unlawful, fraudulent, deceptive, or abusive activity.
- Attempt to disrupt, overload, probe, or bypass security or usage controls.
- Use automated access in a way that materially degrades the service or violates applicable rules.
- Misrepresent Color Pick recommendations as professional certification or official third-party color data.
- Redistribute imported proprietary libraries unless you have authorization to do so.
- Use advertisements, donation links, email, or feedback features for spam or malicious activity.
Third-party services and links
Color Pick may link to or use third-party services for email, donations, analytics, consent management, advertising, or hosting. Those services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
Optional donations do not unlock features or create a support entitlement. Advertising, when enabled, does not influence tool outputs or recommendations.
Availability, updates, and changes
Color Pick may update, add, restrict, or remove features, data, interfaces, or export formats. We may also correct CPS references, palette templates, documentation, or calculations when issues are found.
We do not promise uninterrupted availability, permanent storage, compatibility with every browser, or continued support for every file format.
No warranty
To the extent permitted by law, Color Pick disclaims warranties of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, availability, and error-free operation.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Color Pick and its maintainers are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or business losses arising from use of or inability to use the service.
This includes losses related to local data deletion, shared-link exposure, color mismatch, print output, accessibility decisions, generated code, imported files, third-party services, or reliance on automated recommendations.
Changes and contact
These terms may be revised as the service changes. Continued use after an updated version is published indicates acceptance of the revised terms, where permitted by law.
Questions about these terms can be sent to hello@colorpick.site.
